The Endless Grove

A Fantasy Oracle Deck inspired by SWANA Folklore

The Endless Grove is a unique oracle deck inspired by the folklore of Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, and Palestine. The world of Gadhakar is one of poetry and shared stories—stories of heroes, villains, monsters, and magic. Devout soldiers swear to protect holy relics from monsters. Irascible thieves steal knowledge from wicked rulers. Incandescent djinn do battle with scheming sorcerers.

In this fantasy world, tales are remembered in the Game of Poems. And, in the same way people see themselves in stories, people began to see themselves in the cards. Thus the art of reading the cards grew, and now both the Game of Poems and the Endless Grove are integral part of Gadhakari society.

Available from Hachette and other retailers.

A World of Stories Told and Retold

Each suit of The Endless Grove tells a story of a hero struggling against a destined foe. These ten suits are divided into their common elements: a Hero, set forth to overcome hardship; a Foe, there to challenge and threaten them; an Ally, to join the hero’s cause; a Site, the stage set for the story to unfold; and an Auspicia, a treasured font of magic that centers the tale.

Brought to life with gorgeous artwork by Kim Ekdahl, each card contains plenty of inspiration to guide or grow your story.
